So many people think that expensive or high-end makeup is out of reach because of the price. It is now easier than ever to find makeup that is typically expensive for a lower price to swallow. Here are seven of the best ways to find more fantastic makeup at a better price.

Believe it or not but many stores that you may already shop at sometimes offer a discount on higher-end makeup. While some stores may offer a deeper discount than others, it is still relatively cheaper than you would find at other stores or even on the brand website.

With many stores changing their policy on returning items, more people are looking to get something back for products that are not working for them. This is where resell sites really come into play. Stores like Poshmark, Depop, and Glambot allow users to sell gently used makeup at a discounted price. Some of the things you can find include:

You are probably aware that social media and influencer culture have really taken off over the past few years. Even if you are not ready to post your life on Instagram, there are still certain benefits that you can get just from being online. Here are a few ways that you can get cheap makeup with social media.

This is more of a long-term way of getting expensive makeup for cheap, but it is possible. If you dedicate the time to it, you can possibly get on the PR list, which means that you are getting a full range of makeup each time they release a new collection.

We covered this earlier when we talked about the Ulta rewards program, which allows you to earn money back from purchases that you make either online or in the store. Depending on where you are shopping for makeup, they may also have rewards programs that can help you earn your money back.

Another popular place to find expensive makeup for cheap among beauty lovers is Beauty Encounter. They have a wide variety of products to choose from as well as an email list you can sign-up for which can help you save even more money. It is also a great place to find perfumes if that is something you are shopping for!

One of the biggest questions when it comes to buying expensive makeup at a cheaper or discounted rate is how stores are able to do that. Most of the makeup that you see at discount stores such as Marshalls is simply overstock of the product. Either the brand or another retailer had too much product that was not moving.

The overstock is sold to different stores as a way to make up for the losses on full-price sales, and the consumer gets the benefit! Some people have even found products at TJ Maxx that are still stocked at Sephora or Nordstrom for the total retail price. This leads us to the next question, is it safe to use makeup you find for cheap?

We have all heard the horror stories of people getting cheap makeup that they think is high-end and having terrible results. This can happen regardless of where you buy it, but there are two main reasons why there may be an adverse reaction to cheap makeup that is marketed as expensive.

Even with expensive makeup at a lower cost, it can still sometimes be more expensive than more affordable options would be at their regular price. This often leads people to wonder if expensive makeup is actually worth the additional cost, even if it is cheaper than the regular price.

One of the main reasons why expensive makeup is because the ingredients are very different. They tend to offer different skin benefits as well as more pigmentation. The pigmentation alone can make the product last longer and give you better results.

Since we have covered where to get expensive makeup for cheap, you may be wondering what the point of buying full-price makeup is. That is a good question, but you need to keep in mind that not all makeup is available on these sites. There are some brands that prefer to remain prestigious. These brands often include:

While it is harder to find them, that does not mean it is impossible. During the holidays, you may be able to find value packs from these brands where you can test out different products. While it may not be as cheap as others, it is the best discount you can get.

If you want to try anything from these brands, gently used sites may be a great option. Make sure that you see the product and have it authenticated before purchasing it to use on yourself or others. A lot of high-end or expensive makeup tends to be faked or duplicated, so always make sure your products are authentic.

We have covered where to shop and a few tips that you may not have thought of, but are there any other ways to get high-end makeup for a lower cost? Here are some things that you may not have thought of yet!

These are just a few ways that you can save some extra money on top of expensive makeup. While these may not make it really cheap, they can save money on top of savings that you already find on different websites!

With the beauty industry growing at such a rapid rate, there are always going to be new brands and products coming out. While makeup can often be expensive, it does not always have to be. We have covered a few ways to find expensive makeup for cheap, both from stores and online.

Whether you're obsessed with beauty or you're just a casual makeup lover, you'll eventually have to make a choice: Do you buy the budget-friendly product or do you splurge on the pricier stuff? Is there really that big a difference between $10 mascara and $20 mascara? Pretty much every makeup-wearer has had this dilemma at least once in their life. If you're always on a really tight budget, or if makeup just isn't a big priority for you, then it probably makes sense to stick to affordable drugstore brands. But suppose you have the disposable income to upgrade to the more expensive version of a product that you want: How do you know if it's really worth the extra money? Many people make the mistake of assuming that just because a product is more expensive it's automatically better. That's not always true, since many prestige brands also own drugstore brands that put out very similar products. Sometimes they spend extra money on the packaging and marketing, not the product itself. Then again, I have tried some expensive makeup products that blew my mind and made me willing to fork over the big bucks time and again whenever I ran out.

In the end, it mostly comes down to personal preferences and priorities. Still, I thought it would be fun (and possibly helpful) to go through my makeup stash and compare expensive makeup products to their very similar but much cheaper dupes. I created an entire face of makeup (BB cream, blush, mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, and lipstick), with the inexpensive products on one side of my face and the expensive products on the other side. Let's see how it went down!

So if you're on a budget or just unsure if you want to spend extra for a product, try out the budget-friendly version first to see if you like it. Also consider your priorities. For me, I spend extra on products that go on my (very finicky) skin but prefer to save money on drugstore lipstick and mascara. I have found some expensive products that are completely worth it, as well as some very cheap products that blew my mind. It's all about trial and error, so get out there and experiment!

Shop where the makeup artists shop for high-quality cosmetics at great prices and have camera-ready looks for every event or night on the town. They even have wigs, theatrical makeup and special effects kits, and cosmetics.

Personally, I tend to use expensive makeup. Foundation, as the name implies, is the backbone of any solid look, so it makes sense to spend extra. My foundation (NARS Natural Radiant Longwear) is $49 a bottle for one fluid ounce of liquid gold. (Though if you're a brand-name addict like me, you can sometimes find your favorite brand on discount on sites like Cosme De.)

I am still new to makeup brushes but I would say that expensive makeup brushes are really unnecessary because it takes skill and practice to apply makeup well. But having said that, I love the Lunasol Cheek Brush that I bought and applying blush every morning has been such a breeze. I used to struggle with blush application because I could not make my other brushes work. My Etude House blush brush seem to apply blush unevenly and I seem to over-apply blush when I used the Body Shop one. This could also be down to skill though.

In my makeup bag, a healthy mix of pricey and cheap: Target makeup brushes, Sonia Kashuk primer, The Balm shadows in caught in the act courtney and luscious lani, Lancome eyeliner pencil in black coffee, Loreal Voluminous mascara, Clinique blushwear cream stick, Clinique bronzer, Paul and Joe lipstick, Clinique lipstick in Tenderheart, Mary Kay lip liner in neutral.

How do you know which makeup brand has the best quality? I would personally say that this list speaks for itself. I would rather pay more money to get the best possible product for my skin than get the cheaper product. Every brand has its own exclusivity and range.

If you are someone who uses both cheap and expensive makeup, you obviously will see the differences. While this list may not include many drugstore brands, some of these brands are still very priced.

Buying quality brushes saves you money: While it might seem expensive at first, making the decision to buy quality brushes will actually save you money in the long run. If you decide to buy cheap brushes of low quality, you will have to keep replacing them, and this will cost you a lot more money than if you had just gotten the slightly more expensive ones at first. Also, quality brushes have the ability to last for years. 041b061a72
